"I have built three of these now. This one was donated to our home-town church for a fall festival fund-raiser. Made from Red Oak and Walnut with some Maple Accents."

"This was my wife's Christmas Present this year (even though I didn't get the glass until the following week). Made from Solid Red Oak with Oak plywood for interior bottom, ceiling and back. In this instance the beveled glass actually cost more than the remainder of the materials list. Two 20w cabinet lights illuminate the interior. Cherry stain with five coats of wipe-on poly."

"A little different approach to displaying quilts or afgans. Made from 8/4 Red Oak with Walnut accents. Next time I am going to try blending the actual quilt hangers into the uprights like the back of the base."

"Don't start this project the night before Christmas. This is a picture of some of the 200 play blocks we made for our grandchildren for Christmas this past year. We looked at them in the store and decided it might be fun to make them ourselves. I got three good, straight 2x4's at the local lumber yard, planed them smooth and cut them to various widths to make certain kinds of blocks seen in sets. From there it was angle-cuts, band saw and some hole-saw cuts to add details. I also had some scrap dowel and stair rail moulding so I threw them into the production line. My wife and I cut and sanded all of them in 3-4 hours one Sunday evening. The long schedule item is finishing. They all have two coats of mineral oil which drys slowly, but provides an attractive, non-toxic finish."

"I built the rocking horse for my grandaughter about a year ago. It started with a couple of commercial plans, both of which were combined and heavily modified to come up with the attached results. I used body/leg/rocker geometery from one of the plans and blended the head geometery from the other."

The mane, contoured saddle, tail and facial features are mine. The horses body is 8/4 Oak and step platform and details are 4/4 or turned. Contrasting color is Walnut. It is a pretty good bandsaw project that leaves a lot of expensive hardwood on the floor - but nevertheless a lot of fun. Word got around and I am about 1/2 way through horse #2 with interest in more."

"The bar was part of an overall basement finish in a home we built a few years ago. The fluting on the front and legs matches a fireplace and desk in the ajoining area. I wanted to give the bar the appearance of a free-standing sideboard."

"The open wine storage is close to the floor and keeps bottles fairly cool. Serious dark wine storage is provided by the large drawer and behind the two cabinet doors. I left the end of the upper panel open with the intent of adding stained glass - one of these days."
