Projects of Mike Bullock

"Here is a nitestand I made recently. It's made of solid white oak and the back is tongue and groove. The plans called for 1/4" plywood, but I didn't like that so I put a little extra effort into it.

I just used Minwax satin polyurethane finish (no stain first)."

This is his table/cabinet with raised panel door and his description of this unique project.

"I bought a Grizzly shaper and the cutters to make raised panels, and just to try it out I made one panel. It turned out to be the door of the table. I then decided to make the rest of the table, so I wouldn't have a useless panel laying around. The table top is a copy of an old bread board I found in my wife's grandmother's basement."

"It's made out of solid red oak. This project was made from some old rough sawn oak boards from a local saw mill that went under, which my step father had in a shed, so the cost was next to nothing. I put 3 coats of Minwax polyurethane on it, but no stain.

Everything was done off the top of my head, so I don't have any drawings."
