Projects of George Hardin
The first intarsia projects we've had here at the Gallery, come from George Hardin of Byhalia, Mississippi, USA. Dunr657@aol.com . George is a disabled vet who has just retired to a small place near Byhalia, where he does his beautiful work. He says "When my small shop is finished I plan to sell and teach INTARSIA as well as develop plans for same. It sure would be nice to generate more interest in this craft form. I would be glad to answer any questions on the subject."
I
think he'll have a lot of questions and customers!
This is his wren house keypeg. George says this is one of many he's made because they make wonderful gifts. It's made of walnut, cherry, spruce, western cedar and the pegs are made of birch.

This majestic tiger is made of tarara, American holly, ebony and yellowheart. The ring is made of rosewood.

This symbol of the United States of America is another example of George's fine talent in the art of Intarsia. This project is made from walnut, spruce, western cedar and yellowheart, and is called War Eagle.
Should you have any comments or questions on this or any of his projects, please feel free to contact George at the email address shown above, and he will be pleased to discuss with you, his projects or the art of Intarsia in general.
