Projects of Kathi Hildebrand

Kathi Hildebrand nonee@comcast.net of Westminster, Colorado USA is the latest addition to our group of project exhibitors. She shows and describes her work below.

"I have had a desire for woodworking since my junior high years but at that time girls were only allowed in the home economics classes. It was back in 1985, after being married for 12 years and having 2 children that I finally started doing some woodworking using what tools we had on hand - a very old Craftsman table saw, a router and a drill gun."

"This is a replica of my first project. The pattern for the cross stitch pictured a nice little bathroom cabinet to display the cross stitch. I decided that I would attempt to make one like it and drew up my plans. The first one I made was from pine - several years later I decided to make another out of oak to match the bathroom cabinets."

"This is a jewelry box with a moveable mirror that I made for my daughter's high school graduation. Again, I had just a picture to go by and drew up my own plans. By this time I had added a few more items to the woodshop which included a table scroll saw that I used on this project."
