"Heart-Wheel" Jig by Vicki Hayden of Maryland, USA

"To make the "heart-wheel", you need a nice, round circle, and this jig will give you one." (Courtesy of Shopnotes Magazine)
For more info on the rounding jig, check this page. www.woodworkingtips.com/etips/etip010921sn.html

"This jig will cut out the hearts in a wheel, spacing them out evenly."

"I wanted my wheel larger (5 3/8") than the 4 1/4" the plan is made to give, so I needed my hearts "moved" further out from the center of the wheel to give it a more balanced appearance. I adjusted the jig to suit my needs by moving "A" to the left 1/4" to 3/16". I made mine out of scrap OSB in 15 minutes or so, so it wouldn't be difficult or costly to make several to cover any wheel size you need."
"Thanks to Mr. Frank Cambell at www.benchnotes.com for sharing his plan."
"This is my finished wheel,
sanded on the circle jig
and with the hearts cut out using the heart jig."
