"I stole some ideas from Don's kids easel to build one for my grandchildren. I added a paper roll holder to the top so I had to change the way the four legs attached to the top."

"All main components are 3/4" solid oak. The white & black boards were purchased at Staples - 18" x 24". The backer board for the white board is 3/8" MDF. The paper roll base & leg brackets and the paint tray back & bottom are G2S 3/4" oak plywood. The dowels are 1/2" oak. The metal leg braces are modified card table leg braces. All screws are either #6 steel or brass - all Robertson,,, I don't use anything else!

I used Minwax "aged oak" gel stain and then 2 coats of Minwax's wax. The aged oak stain brings out the grain beautifully."

Here is a photo of this great Christmas gift he gave to his two granddaughters, Sabrina & Ashley.
