Projects of Doug Leonard

Doug Leonard from Iowa, USA woodshop@themidwestwoodworker.com has sent in his great gun cabinet project, which he describes below.

"Here is a gun cabinet I made out of red oak. It can hold up to 6 guns with storage space below. With a few modifications I made, this can be a china cabinet also. I made the dentil molding at the top using the table saw. The top molding I made with a router. Both doors have a keyed lock. The gun doors have Plexiglas for protection. The storage doors are raised panel. The gun holders have felt lining. The finish has antique oil and after drying a week has 3 coats of natural varnish."
