"Log Cabin Like" Home

I'd like you to meet Gordon Reid of Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada. Gordon is one of our exhibitors in The U-Made-It Gallery, Room 9. Earlier this winter, Gordon had been asked to help a friend build his dream home in northern British Columbia, Canada.

Gordon was waiting with much anticipation to get started, and once they did, he digitally recorded their progress, and what follows is a pictorial record of a few of the main parts of their on site work.

Gordon says, "I've been busy helping a couple friends build a log house. What a HOOT! What a BLAST, for a retired pencil pusher. As you can see from the pictures, it was pretty snowy and cold when we started. I wouldn’t have missed this opportunity for anything. What a wonderful experience..

We installed the tub/shower unit. I did the plumbing on it, and NO LEAKS….PHEW. The basement has been transformed from a square box, to something that resembles a basement in a home."
