"This is made of 3/4 inch birch - one stained black - the other natural and has a pine boarder around it. It's all finished with a water based varathane. The joints are getting better, and you really have to take your time making sure they glue up smooth."

"Here is an interesting project I worked on New Years Eve. Someone asked me to build a bat house…….a WHAT?!! Never heard of it before, so got the measurements from the internet, and this is what it is.  For a person who has spent thousands of hours sanding trying to get that perfect finish, this had to be ROUGHED up, now that was painful to do.

Supposedly it needs to be rough on the inside so the bats can attach to it."

"I bought a jointer, never thought I needed one, was I wrong. I am so impressed with what it does. This table is made from all Birch lumber and it's 7/8 in. thick. I laminated everything with biscuits. The joints are FANTASTIC. I stained it with a natural stain, and then a few coats of an oil based Varathane.  I am on a jointer kick now, trying to figure out what next to build."

"I just finished moving our pantry from the hall entry to the kitchen entry. I put in full extention drawers on the bottom which are deep and can hold anything. Then a cupboard on the top of the drawers, on the side that used to be the opening I had room for a small two door storage area, and put shelves in it. It is all made of ¾ inch Birch ply and Birch lumber. I used a natural stain and varathaned it all."

"Here is a table I made for a friend of mine. The legs are 2” fir, the rails and styles are made from 1” birch. The bottom shelf is
¾“ pine and the top is 3/4 “ pine with 1’ birch boarder. It is finished in a walnut stain, and 3 coats of a water based varathane."

"Here are a couple of Pine Hope Chests that I made for my twin Granddaughters for Christmas. The inlays are tongue and grove pine, the rest is 1x Pine. They were finished with 3 coats of satin varathane."

"I replaced all the cupboard doors and drawer fronts. The doors are Birch 1inch thick with a Birch ply inlay.

They are finished with a natural stain and a coat of varathane. The drawer fronts are 1 inch Birch finished the same. It sure changes the look of the kitchen."

"This is a night stand made of Pine and some Birch. It is stained with Puritan Pine and has 3 coats of a Satin Varathane. The drawers are dovetailed, my first attempt at that. What a solid joint that makes."

"Here is a corner cabinet and hutch. It is made of pine. The top shelves are adjustable the one on the bottom is fixed. It is a gift for a couple friends, so will let them finish it with whatever stain they choose and install the pulls. This is my first corner unit, and quite enjoyed making it."

"Here is a utility shaker type table. Legs are Fir and the rest is Pine. It is all biscuit joined and finished with a stain and 4 coats of a water based Urethane."

"This is my latest project. Now that retirement has set in the FUN begins. Made of ¾ inch Birch Ply and Birch lumber planed to 1 inch. Finished with a Birch stain and 3 coats of Urethane. It is 4'W, 7'H and 13"D. A very rewarding project."

"Here is a small display cabinet I made to go into the bathroom which is made from 1 x 6 and 2 x 6 Pine, with tongue and groove panels for the back inset into the top and sides."

"A Pine Hope Chest made from Pine ripped to 1 inch, lined with clear cedar and finished with 3 coats of a water based urethane."

"Here is a table, it could be used as a server in a dining room, or perhaps a baby changing table. The legs are made from 4 x 4 Fir that I ripped into 2 x 2’s the shelves are laminate Pine and the drawer front is also Fir. It is not stained or varathaned yet, as I am unsure how I want to finish it."

"A side table made of Fir and Pine and a night stand made of Pine: These are unfinished as they are being given away, and the owner will finish them. What began as a hobby has turned into a regular job building furniture. Word has spread, and I have enough work to keep me busy for a few months. Good thing I am retiring December 22nd 2006, so I can keep up."

"Here's a boot bench I made for my Son and Daughter-in-law. It's for their kitchen next to the door and below a window. It's made of Fir, laminated pine and cedar. Its 52" L, 21" H and 16" W. The bottom tray can hold rubber mats to catch the snow melting."

"Here is a chest of drawers I made and a set of night tables. They are all made of ¾ inch laminate pine. All the drawers are on metal sliders. They are for a friend whose daughter just bought a house, and will be finished by her."
