Projects of Jack Walden

These are projects from Jack Walden Mrjw03@wmconnect.com of Sacramento, Ca., USA, and he tells us about it below.

"This was a first for me.  I took this old cabinet that I have had around for 15 years and turned it into a miter saw table. I took the top off and found that the top and sides and back were beveled at 45'. I set my circular saw at 45' and cut the sides and back to the height I wanted the table. Then I cut a cut-out for the saw in the top. I then installed a shelf in the box, adjusting the height so the saw would be flush with the table top. Finally I reinstalled the top and put the saw into the cut-out. I put a couple of blocks of wood on the shelf to support the table top at the cut-out.

I think it turned out very well, for a first time project."

Here's the progression of Jack's work in turning his old cabinet into a very functional mitersaw table, proving once again,,, never discard anything! ;-)
