Here's Doug's latest projects which is an African mahogany bandsawn box.
Doug designed & made this custom made sofa table for a friend who was short on space, who later finished this project.

"The table needed to be 12W x 32L. I drew the table in CAD first, (EasyCad32) to get perspective. (I fiddled with it till it looked right). The top and shelf are made from a glued up table top purchased from Home Depot - cost was $17.00 and the total project cost was under $35.00. The bottom stretchers are made from a ripped 2x4,which was then dadod out to receive the shelf. The only tricky part was cutting out the bottom shelf. I finally set the shelf on the workbench, positioned the table on top of it and drew around the legs".

"This project was made from scrap red oak. I cut the radius by angling a straight edge across the tablesaw. Then I wrapped sand paper around a "cuzzie" cup to sand the radius and finished it with a golden oak stain and polyurethane". Doug will email you a drawing if you like.
